Paper Abstract:
For most marine geophysical data processing
tasks, such as gravity, magnetic or echo-sounding; to find and eliminate the anomalies
that exist amongst the swarm of raw data is a tedious and time-consuming process,
which must be completed before any further processing can take place. Usually, the
Graphical User Interface (GUI) software provided with the data acquisition system
is very useful to reduce the manpower requirements and speed up processing. Such
software can show the data continuity as a map, and any abnormal data outside of
the spatial ranges can be easily found and removed using convenient GUI viewing
and editing tools. However, each tool typically only displays one specific data
type or format. For different kinds of data, even though the editing criteria and
processes are almost the same, it is still necessary to buy and learn many different
software applications to complete tasks. In this paper, a GUI program is designed
for general marine geophysical data editing. The program allows users to define
their own data formats, and thereafter it can recognize the data type automatically
according to the type of file extension, resembling most commercial software. However,
unlike other programs it can be used to simultaneously edit many different types
of data. In addition to the general GUI editing tools, several convenient threshold
editing methods are also implemented including data range filtering, data dilution,
and text editing. The software is called “XYZ Data Editor”, which means the (X,
Y, Z) structure is the basic data style that is processed. This software is Freeware,
and therefore it can be used free of charge, for any non-commercial purpose. This
paper introduces the usage, design considerations, and principles of the software.

這是一個可以自訂資料格式的圖形化通用資料編輯程式，用來檢視與編輯具有(X,
Y, Z)資料型態的地球物理資料，譬如重力、磁力或水深的原始測量值。利用程式內的Format Analyzer工具介面可以檢視原始檔案資料，並用滑鼠選擇你認為的X，Y，Z資料的欄位，爾後這個程式就可以根據資料檔案的副檔名自動辨識這種資料格式。其他的操作就是載入文字格式資料檔繪成地圖，可以縮放檢視，單點或區塊式的選擇刪除，將不妥當的資料刪掉。最後會以原來格式儲存結果，只是跳過程式執行中已被刪除的資料錄(行)。您可以在此下載程式安裝檔，安裝並免費使用，
